Timothy Allen Mirus, age 57, of Meadowbrook Drive, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the home of his brother. Born February 21, 1957, in Louisville, he is the son of Geneva F. Mirus of Louisville and the late Matthew O. Mirus. In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his brother, David Mirus and wife Robin of Morehead, two nephews, Stephen Bishop Mirus and Joseph Mitchell Mirus and wife Michelle; one niece, Adria Lynn Mirus; and three great nephews. Besides his family, Tim leaves behind many devoted friends who will also miss him. Formerly of Trimble County, Tim owned and operated a construction company for more than 30 years in the Louisville area. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest love was his German Shepherd dogs. Tim was baptized in the Church of Christ. Visitation will be Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson Street, La Grange, KY 40031 with a funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. with Manley Berthold officiating. Additional visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2014, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead with a graveside service immediately following at Lee Cemetery with Brother Joe Cline officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351 Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
