Thomas Edward Stapelton, age 59, of Fallen Timber Branch, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at his residence. Born June 27, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, Tom is the son of Ethel M. Sears Stapelton of Hernando, Florida, and the late Jackson Marion Stapelton. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Evelyn Marie Lambert Stapelton; one daughter, Kelly Lynn Zavala of San Diego, California; two sisters, Nancy Louise Williams of West Columbia, South Carolina, and Sandra Onedia Schuler of Fairfield, Ohio; three grandchildren; three stepsons, Dennis Terry II, Christopher Terry, James Terry; and other extended family and many friends. Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a former employee of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Herbert D. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Nick Zavala, Brad Phillips, Paul Schuler, Sr., Paul Schuler, Jr., Robert Williams, Joe Easter, Dennis Terry, and Robert Upchurch.
