Thomas Ross, age 69, of Johnson School Road, Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born April 27, 1948, in Menifee County, he was the son of the late Robert and Lora Hampton Ross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie and Woodrow Ross, and one sister, Janice Hager. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife of 43 years, Geneva Burke Ross, whom he married November 28, 1974; two sons, David (Jenny) Ross and Myron (Michelle) Ross, all of Menifee County; two daughters, Joyce (Tiny) Wright of Powell County, and Rebecca Ross of Covington; two brothers, Robert Ross and Newt Ross, both of Menifee County; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was a retired carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Hutton Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Engle officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman Shelly, Brian Morris, Cody Elliott, Ricky Maze, Timmy Maze, and David Reynolds. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
