Thomas Leland Moore, Jr., age 66, of Morehead, and a former resident of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. Born November 8, 1947, in Bellefonte, he is the son of Margaret Carmichael Moore Hunt of Bellefonte and the late Thomas Leland Moore. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Caskey Moore; mother and stepfather, Margaret and Ray Hunt of Bellefonte; daughter, Ginger Moore Sly and husband Matt of Georgetown; stepson, Damon Caskey and wife Nichole of Paris; and four grandchildren, Tucker Thomas Sly, Tillman Sly, Connor Caskey, and Caydence Caskey. Other survivors include two brothers, Michael Moore of Bellefonte and John Moore of Georgetown; two sisters, Carolyn Vallance and husband Gary and Mary Wise, all of Bellefonte; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Hope Fannin. Tom graduated from Russell High School and attended Ashland Community College and Morehead State University. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and retired business owner of Morehead Auto Parts and Sales. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Larry Foxworthy, Harmon Cross, Matt Sly, Tucker Thomas Sly, Damon Caskey, Mike Moore, John Moore, and Tony Vallance.
