Rev. Thomas Ginter, Jr., age 72, of Roselawn Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born July 12, 1941, in Gatestown, Michigan, a son of the late Thomas Otis and Effie Mae Morris Ginter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Ginter, and two sisters, Mary McKinney and Linda Lou Ginter. Rev. Ginter is survived by his wife, Linda Arlene Buckner Ginter, whom he wed December 30, 1960; one son, John Wayne Ginter of Morehead; two daughters, Melissa June Thompson and husband Andy of Morehead and April Christine Johnson and husband Dingus Dwain of Morgan County; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Alpha Jennings and husband Lloyd of Clearfield; seven brothers, Ralph Ginter, Earl Ginter, Ernest Lee Ginter, Teddy Ginter and wife Debbie, Freddy Ginter and wife Willa Mae, and Jessie Ginter and wife Barbara, all of Morehead, Glenn Ginter and wife Diane of Ocala, Florida; nieces and nephews; extended family members; church family; and friends. Rev. Ginter was a minister more than 40 years in the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed his ministry work, praying for the sick, preaching the gospel, and spending time with his loving family and friends. Above all, he loved the Lord and his devoted wife Linda. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Anderson and Rev. Arnold Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Marty Jennings, Brian Ginter, Mitchell Ginter, J. R. Ginter, John Charles Ginter, and Walker Thompson. Honorary pallbearers: Arnold Hamilton, Emerson Howard, Tony Hitch, Gary Howard, Clayton Winkleman, Patrick Mayse, Clyde Mayse, Jrl, Noah Stidam, and Laverne Whitt. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Saturday, July 20, 2013, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
