Thomas Edwin Dehart, age 64, of Conn Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at his residence after a long illness. Born May 24, 1946, in Elliott County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Melvin and Hazel Binion Dehart. He was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Edwin Dehart, on March 6, 2007; two brothers, William Edgar Dehart and Gary Ray Dehart; and two sisters, Gracie Marie James and Elizabeth Fern Flannery. Thomas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gracie Reynolds Dehart; one son, Dwayne Dehart of Elliott County, Kentucky; and two granddaughters, Tara Leigh Dehart and Shawna Renae Dehart. Also surviving are two brothers, Ernest Roy Dehart and Lester Paul Dehart, both of Wabash, Indiana; five sisters, Monie Lee Collins of Morgan County, Kentucky, Jewell Walker and Essie Faye Orpet, both of Wabash, Indiana, Mary Magalene Music of Pensacola, Florida, and Beulah Gay Yocum of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Thomas was a logger, and enjoyed reading Western books, fishing, and having fish fries for the church. He was a member of the Porter Creek Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Vaughn Thornsberry and the Rev. Austin Carter officiating. Pallbearers will be James Conn, John Conn, David Conn, Randy Holbrook, Alan Butler, Frankie Butler, and Jason Whitt. Burial will follow in the Dehart Cemetery on Conn Road. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Friday, June 18, 2010, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. Interment: Dehart Cemetery
