Obituary

Thomas Lee Davis, age 73, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Born October 29, 1939, in Carter County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Harland Luther and Clara Lee Brewster Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hubert, Harold, and Harlan Davis, and four sisters, Opal Mae Easton, Ernestine and Imogene Davis, and Glora Jean Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Zella Marie Tackett Davis; two sons, Thomas Lee Davis Jr. and wife Carolyn and Alan Davis, all of McDonald, Ohio; one daughter, Camella Lawhorn and husband Paul of Hayward, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Joshua Davis, Phyllis Binion, Crystal Hill, David Hill and wife Amanda, Diamond Davis, and Angela Schafer and husband Josh; and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Logan Davis and Robert Davis, both of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Marie Davis Whitt of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Tommy was a sawmill worker for many years and last worked for the Weavers in Fleming County. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky. Pallbearers: Brandon Davis, David Hill, Tommy Davis, Jr., Tony Puckett, Scotty Purnell, and Alan Davis. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Sunday, December 30, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral: Monday, December 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment: Manning Chapel Cemetery, Carter County, KY
