Obituary

Thelma M. Smith Gamble, age 82, of Ivory Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011, at her residence. She was born November 27, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late John Charles and Thelma Schaffer Smith. Her husband, Glen J. Gamble, preceded her in death on December 31, 2003. Mrs. Gamble is survived by one son, Erwin Martin Gamble and wife Deborah of Morehead, Kentucky; two step children, James Thompson and Mary Thompson, both of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Stella Bonds of Tawas City, Michigan; one granddaughter, Kalyn Nicole Gamble of Stanford, Kentucky; and two great grandchildren, Landin and Serenity. Mrs. Gamble retired from St. Claire Regional Medical Center with 21 years of service and attended the Catholic Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Prabell officiating. Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clyde Thomas, Addie Thomas, James Thomas, Danny Lewis, Phillip Baldridge, Ray Baldridge, and Alvin Kidd. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Wednesday, October 5, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Crix Cemetery
