Tessa Peyton Smith, age 31, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her residence.

She was born May 31, 1992, in West Liberty, and was the daughter of the late Sheila Lynn Peyton.  Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Matthew "Jim" Smith on May 4, 2018, and maternal grandfather, Amos Lynn Peyton.

Tessa is survived by three daughters, Jayda Lynn Smith, Myla Rose Smith and Sunny Belle Smith, all of Morehead; maternal grandmother, Pamela Whitt Cameron of Middletown, Ohio; mother-in-law, Lena Smith Middleton of Morehead; brother-in-law, Christopher Todd Smith of Michigan; sister-in-law, Cheryl Lynnann Grimes of Morehead; and other extended family and friends.

She graduated from Menifee County High School and was an employee of Taco Bell in Morehead.  Tessa was very artistic and enjoyed crafting and listening to music. Most of all, she loved her daughters and cherished her time spent with them. Tessa will be remembered with love and greatly missed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
