Teresa Thompson Mason, age 55, of North Wilson Avenue, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at her residence. Born September 4, 1958, in Rowan County, she is the daughter of Jack and Mary Jo Mynhier Thompson of Morehead. In addition to her parents, Teresa is survived by her husband of 29 years, Daniel H. Mason, whom she wed July 21, 1984; one son, Wesley Mason and his companion, Aimee Song, of Los Angeles, California; and three brothers, J. R. Thompson and wife Angie and Lowell Thompson and wife Caryn, all of Morehead, Brian Thompson of Vero Beach, Florida, and Elena Rose Thompson of Vero Beach, Florida. Other survivors include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and her beloved poodle, Mason. Teresa was a retired paralegal from Legal Aid of the Bluegrass and a member of Morehead United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fostering rescue dogs and spending time at the beach and pool with family and friends. A celebration of life will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Morehead United Methodist Church with the Rev. Aaron Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: J. R. Thompson, Lowell Thompson, Brian Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Adam Butler, Dave Boarman, Tanner Thompson, and Alex Williams. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to STAR (Saving the Animals of Rowan), P. O. Box 454, Morehead, KY 40351 or Thompson-Mason Brain Cancer Foundation, Inc. (established to assist families with disease-related expenses), P. O.
