Tamela Sue Sloan Kitchen, age 47 , of Sandy Hook, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty. Tami was born February 21, 1969, in Morehead, a daughter of Alice Whitt Sloan of Sandy Hook and the late Harold Sloan. In addition to her mother, Tami is survived by her husband, Robert Kitchen, whom she married September 17, 2014; one son, Dakota James Lewis of Sandy Hook; and two daughters, Cassie Jo Simmons of Ocala, Florida, daughter of the late Glen Joe Simmons II, and Layla Nicole Lewis of Sandy Hook. She is also survived by four sisters, Joann Adkins and Crystal Howard, both of Morehead, and Linda Rowe and Robin Winkleman, both of Sandy Hook; four brothers, Eugene and Darrell Winkleman, both of Sandy Hook, and Timmy and Ricky Winkleman of Morehead; the children's father, Mark Lewis of Bruin; special brother-in-law, Dean Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Tami was a retired LPN from King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland and was a stay-at-home Mom. She loved shopping, riding bikes, and spending time with family and friends. She was of the Church of God faith. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Daniel Carter, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook. Pallbearers: Keith, Bryan, Travis, Kevin, and Randy Winkleman and Nathan Jaynes. Honorary pallbearers: Hayden Howard and Chandler Howard and Zachary Kitchen. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
