Susan Gayle Ingram Hyatt, age 71, of Bradford Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead after a valiant fight against cancer.

Born March 13, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Jack Marvin Ingram and Madge Johnson Ingram. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Michael Ingram.

Susan is survived by her devoted significant other, Gerald DeMoss; two special children, Nicholas Todd (Carrie) Hyatt and Kellina (Fred) Keenan, all of Morehead; five cherished grandchildren, Mason Todd Hyatt, Killian Jack Keenan, Evie Elise Keenan, Hannah Renee Apgar, and Savannah Jaee Apgar; a special cousin, Jason Simon of Morehead; a sister-in-law, Diane Ingram; and other extended family members and friends.

Susan attended Morehead State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She retired from Morehead State University in 2000, having served as an administrative secretary. She also generously gave her time as a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was an active member of her church and women’s church group.

Susan enjoyed decorating for every season, shopping, taking her girls only trips, but her greatest joy in life was being a grammy and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. They held a special place in her heart, and the time she shared with them brought her immeasurable happiness.

Susan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the memories she created and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

A gathering of remembrance will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2026, at Little Mary Baptist Church, 1135 Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Under the Twinkling Lights Toy Giveaway, 32 Wisteria Lane, Morehead, KY 40351.

Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
