Lonnie Steven (Steve) Parker, age 60, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at his residence. He was born March 11, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, and is the son of Olive Myrtle Cox Parker of Morehead, Kentucky, and the late Carmel Burnis Parker. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Donna Fyfe Parker; one son, Kevin Parker and wife Kerri of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters, Angela Harris and husband Tim and Kelly Moorehead and husband Larry, all of Elliott County, Kentucky; one sister, Phyllis Glover and husband George of Morehead, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Madison Parker, Dylan Simmons, Taylor Moorehead, and Alexis Parker. Steve served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a former member and captain of the Elliottville Fire Department. For thirty years he was an employee of Spring Grove Dairy and Southern Belle and recently worked in retail marketing and merchandising. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Day and the Rev. Rex Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery with full military rites conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Tim Harris, Larry Moorehead, John Bowling, Dickie Blair, Rick Glover, Eugene Glover, and Kevin Parker. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
