Steve Michael Kinder, age 55, of Buckhorn Drive, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Born May 8, 1960, in Rowan County, he is the son of Denver Kinder of Morehead and the late Myrtle Irene Wilson Kinder. Steve is survived by one son, Michael Kinder and wife Jaime; his father and stepmother, Denver and Dollie McGuire Kinder; and one brother, Joseph Kinder, all of Morehead; one sister, Jackie Petersen and husband John of Fairfax, Virginia; a special niece, Tiara Combs and husband Rebel of Jackson, as well as a host of extended family and friends. Steve was a resident project representative at J. R. Wauford and Company. He enjoyed going to car shows, spending time with family and friends, and being with his faithful companion and ever watchful dog, Duke. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Bruce Adkins, Matthew Adkins, JC Stamper, Carl Jones, Tony Kinder, Gene Barker, and John Wolfenbarger.
