Sim (Simbo) Goins, age 56, of the Life Care Center, formerly of Horizon Village, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born November 26, 1953, in Manchester, Kentucky, he is the son of Dorothy Sizemore Goins of Manchester, Kentucky, and the late Charles Goins. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sharon Woods Goins; eight brothers, Chester Goins of Hyden, Kentucky, Same Goins of Manchester, Kentucky, Clarence Goins of London, Kentucky, Caleb Goins of Lexington, Kentucky, Michael Goins of Blytheville, Arkansas, and James Goins, Jimmy Goins, and Ray (Smiley) Goins, all of Manchester, Kentucky; and six sisters, Elizebelle Goins of Indiana, Nancy Sizemore of Pensacola, Florida, and Rebecca Goins, Diana Duff, Flora Goins, and Betty Jackson, all of Manchester, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lansford May and the Rev. Brian Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Warf, Jason Weber, Kelly Thompson, Jackie Matthews, and Thomas Evans.
