Shirley Faye Trent Ramey, age 75, of Sheridan Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 22, 1942, in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Harrison and Gladys Howard Trent. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Jean Trent Stewart and Elizabeth Trent Holloway, and three brothers, Omer Trent, Hobert Trent, and Cecil Trent. Shirley is survived by her husband, Orbie C. Ramey, whom she married May 8, 1987; one daughter, Belinda Beamon and husband Dennis of Morehead; two sons, Dale Kegley and wife Joann of Guyandotte, West Virginia, and Carlos Kegley and wife Tracy of Taylorsville; one step son, Eric Ramey and wife Georgi of Morehead; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Wales Trent and wife Thelma of Morehead and Harrison Trent, Jr., of Wayne, Michigan, one sister, Gertrude Trent of Clearfield, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. She enjoyed reading her Bible, flower gardening, going to yard sales, eating out, and especially spending time with her family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead with the Rev. Cecil Ison and Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
