Shirley Ruth Mobley Parker, 85, of Rineyville, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, passed away on December 10, 2023. She was born on October 6, 1938, in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, the youngest daughter of the late Harve Weddington Mobley and Mary Alice Greene Mobley.

Shirley was a loving mother, survived by her daughters Teri Sparks (Chris) and Tamela Cates (Scott Coburn). She was also a cherished grandmother to Melissa Titan (Travis), Brittany Giles, Katelyn Cates, Sydney Giles, and Trevor Sparks, and great-grandmother to Kirra Simmons, Kali Simmons, and Quentin Simmons. Shirley was preceded in death by her son Eusebus Thomas Parker IV and her siblings Tom Mobley, Joyce Grymes, Harve Mobley, and Mary Jo Walther.

Shirley attended Breckinridge Training School for her primary education and later pursued higher education at Morehead State University and Thomas Moore College. She had a successful career as an accountant at Ford Motor Company and Morehead State University.

In her free time, Shirley enjoyed solving puzzles, a hobby that brought her joy and relaxation.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.  A celebration honoring Shirley's life will begin at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Scott  Holley  presiding..  Interment will take place in Lee Cemetery.
