Shirley May Enochs Riley, age 75, of Morehead, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Life Care Center in Morehead.

She was born March 19, 1948, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late J. C. and Clora Dobbs Enochs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Norman Riley; two brothers, Charles J. Enochs and Samuel J. Enochs; and one sister, Jennie V. Ward.

Shirley is survived by three children, Don Riley (Tammy) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Jill DeLonay (John) of Noblesville, Indiana, and Aaron Riley (Julie) of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Jeanie Knapp (Danny) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Miriam Blinkinsop (Walt) of Sparks, Nevada, and Rhoda Davis (Kevin) of Ridgeville, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker, an amazing cook, enjoyed reading, and was always there for her family. Shirley was a foster parent for many years, having many children in her home throughout her time as a foster mom.

Shirley was very vocal about her salvation, and generally in every conversation with her, she would let you know her plans for eternal life.

A very special thanks to her amazing caregivers at the Life Care Center in Morehead, for their dedication and love for her. During the last five months of her life, they definitely made her comfortable. She always bragged about how wonderful the staff was, and how well she was treated.

At her request, there will be a two-hour visitation for family and friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351, immediately followed by a graveside service at Clark Cemetery on Cranston Road with Pastor Junior Logan officiating.
