Shirley R. Counts, 65, of Morehead, Kentucky, was born October 24, 1945, in Middletown, Ohio, and passed away June 11, 2011, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Her husband of 47 years, William Hubert Counts, Jr., whom she wed March 28, 1964, passed away May 25, 2011. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Lori Crouch and husband Jim of Salt Lick, Kentucky, and Carol Enderle and husband Shawn of Lexington, Kentucky; one son, Billy Counts and wife Andrea of Lexington, Kentucky; six beautiful grandchildren, Boston and Brooklyn Enderle; Dan, Emily and Katie Crouch; and Anna Counts. Other survivors include her mother, Ruth Melas of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Donna Speckert of Saratoga Springs, New York, and Barbara Roth of Englewood, Ohio; and three brothers, Mike Roe of Chehalis, Washington, Ken Roe of Zanesville, Ohio, and Rick Melas of Cincinnati, Ohio. One brother, Dan Roe, preceded her in death. Shirley enjoyed the role of wife, mother, and grandmother. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her husband Bill, watching classic movies, reading, and studying the Bible. She was a member of the Salt Lick First Church of God. Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. A joint funeral service for William Hubert Jr. and Shirley R. Counts will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011, at the Salt Lick First Church of God with Pastor Vernon Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at the JOUAM & Eagle Cemetery, Olive Hill, Kentucky. Pallbearers: Billy Counts, Jim Crouch, Shawn Enderle, Ken Roe, Mike Roth, and Dick Counts. Visitation: Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 5 - 9 p.m., Northcutt & Son Funeral: Thursday, June 16, 2011, 11 a.m., Salt Lick First Church of God Interment: JOUAM & Eagle Cemetery, Olive Hill, KY
