Sherrie Lynn McTush Kickel, 51, of Rose Road, Clearfield, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015, at U.K. Markey Cancer Center in Lexington from leukemia. Born September 18, 1963, in Iowa City, Iowa, she is the daughter of Donna Lee Pierce McTush of Clearfield and the late Grover Julius McTush. In addition to her mother, Sherrie is survived by two sons, Christopher Channing McTush and Curtis James Kickel, both of Clearfield; one daughter, Donita Kickel Claxton and husband Issac of Sandy Hook; two brothers, Robert Allen McTush of Clearfield and Michael McTush and wife Rondia of Lexington; one grandson, Haven McTush; extended family; and friends. Sherrie served in the U.S. Army Reserve for eight years and was a homemaker and student. She was currently pursuing a degree in respiratory therapy at Maysville Community & Technical College. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, loving the family, knitting, and spoiling her dachshund, 'Ziggy.' Sherrie was a member of Morehead Seventh-day Adventist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Anthony Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Day Cemetery in Blairs Mill with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126. Pallbearers: Michael McTush, Chris McTush, Brandon McTush, Mark Bailey, Richard Jackson, and Waynie Fultz. Honorary pallbearers: Curtis James Kickel, Evan McTush, Robert McTush, and Issac Claxton. Visitation is Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
