Shelley Dee Ginter Winkle, age 58, of Laurel Oak Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, at her residence. Born July 17, 1953, in Winchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Dee and Ruby Martin Ginter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Shelia Ginter Thornsburg, and two brothers, Johnathan Ginter and Timmy Ginter. Shelley is survived by her husband, David Winkle, whom she married June 2, 1973, and their son, Michael David Winkle of Morehead, Kentucky. Other survivors include one brother, Arnold Ginter of Libby, Montana; one half sister, Terri Sue Reffit of Camargo, Kentucky; two half-brothers, Perry Patton of Hamilton, Ohio and Gary Martin of Frenchburg, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Shelly graduated from Bath County High School and was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing Company and Big Yank. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a devoted wife and mother. Shelly also loved the outdoors and helping others. She will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Brian Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Winkle Cemetery on Stamper Ridge in Elliott County. Pallbearers will be Jerry Stamper, Harold Stamper, Buddy Pennington, John Stamper, Wendell Winkle, and Richard Stamper. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, September 12, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at 11 a.m. Interment: Winkle Cemetery, Elliott County
