Sharon Rivers, age 52, of Hunts Fork, Dana, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008, at her residence. She was born November 6, 1955, in Hazard, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late William Radar and Arizona Everage Smith. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dexter Smith, and one sister, Ernestine Noble. Sharon is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Rivers; two sons, Ronnie Rivers of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mason Rivers of Dana, Kentucky; two brothers, Lester Smith and Freddy Smith, both of Morehead, Kentucky; and five sisters, Carolyn Neace of Hazard, Kentucky, Nancy Waddell of Dana, Kentucky, Ivory Waddell of Morehead, Kentucky, Billie Dailey of Jacobs, Kentucky, and Sandra Campbell of Hazard, Kentucky. Other survivors include father-in-law and mother-in-law Forest Rivers and Shirley Smith; special niece and nephew, Tana Waddell and Tyrone Noble; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Mrs. Rivers was a teacher-s aide at John M. Stumbo Elementary School. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Don Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Bowen Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
