Sharon Kay Hampton Caudill, age 58, of Nichols Branch, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born March 10, 1953, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Madge Jarrells Hampton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Hampton, and her husband, Derwood Caudill, who passed away January 8, 1995. Sharon is survived by two daughters, Teresa Carpenter of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Loretta Barker of Morehead, Kentucky; three sons, James Barker and Paul David Barker, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Hershell Caudill of Clearfield, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Marcella Nickell of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Charles Ray Fannin of Paintsville, Kentucky; extended family members; and many friends. Sharon was a 20-year employee of Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lansford May officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Family Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky. Pallbearers: Robert Barker, Brandon James, Jeremy Crawford, Jerry Bryant, Nathan Carpenter, and Michael Barker.
