Sharon Woods Goins, age 67, a resident of the Life Care Center of Morehead, formerly of Horizon Village, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 1, 1946, in Kenova, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Claude and Lillie Jordan Woods. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Her husband, Sim Goins, passed away on September 29, 2010. Sharon is survived by two brothers, Jack Woods of Catlettsburg and Edward Earl Woods of Canton, Ohio; one sister, Marjorie Pauline Price of South Point, Ohio; one special sister-in-law, Sandra Sue Woods of Ashland; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, and spending time with her many friends. However, her greatest joy came from attending church services. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Lansford May officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
