Shannon Michelle Rayburn Bear, age 31, of Big Perry Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1979, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and is the daughter of Randy and Jodi Lawhorn Rayburn of Olive Hill, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Shannon Ray Bear, whom she wed July 10, 1999; four children, Collin Gage Bear, Aiden Lucas Bear, and twins Sophia Rae Bear and Madelyn Ava Bear, all at home; brother, Eric Rayburn of Olive Hill, Kentucky; father-in-law, Danny Bear of Olive Hill, Kentucky; stepfather and mother-in-law, Jamie and Vicki Ratcliff of Grayson, Kentucky; and brother-in-law, Cory Bear of Grayson, Kentucky, and his fianc-e, Alexandria Busch. Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Morehead State University. She was the Regional Placement Coordinator for Bluegrass Regional Mental Health-Mental Retardation Board. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Jared Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Cody Rayburn, Josh White, Cory Bear, Bobby Harris, Joe Kiser, and J. D. Hicks.
