Obituary

Sgt. Charles Lee Dougherty, age 27, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born November 25, 1981, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, and is the son of Bob Dougherty of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Mary Willoughby Dougherty of Sharpsburg, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Crystal Black Dougherty, and three daughters, Victoria Renee Curtis, Ashley Kaytland Curtis, and Destiny Storm Dougherty, all of Clarksville, Tennessee. Other survivors include three brothers, Robert Dougherty of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, John Dougherty of Owingsville, Kentucky, and Darrell Dougherty of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and two sisters, Stephanie May and Regina Dougherty, both of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Sgt. Dougherty served in the U. S. Army eight years. He enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Chaplain (Cpt.) Rolando Rosado and the Rev. Jim Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Cemetery, Ramey Ridge Road, Morehead, Kentucky, with full military rites conducted by the U. S. Army Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be the U. S. Army Honor Guard. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Friday, February 20, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, February 21, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment: Black Cemetery
