Savoy Lee Barnett, age 48, of Bedford Johnson Road, Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at his residence.

Born August 20, 1972, in Mt. Sterling, he is the son of Bonnie Johnson Barnett of Mt. Sterling and the late Savoy Barnett.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Rae Riddle Barnett, on February 10, 2018.

In addition to his mother, Savoy is survived by two sons, Austin Savoy (Shanae) Barnett of Hindman and Lane Tristen Barnett (Sierra Hall) of Owingsville; one grandson, River Barnett of Owingsville; two sisters, Shelia Barnett Collins of Mt. Sterling and Crystal Barnett of Owingsville; one niece, Bayley French; and five nephews, Hunter Vance, Joey Spencer, Josh Spencer, Chase Spencer, and Alex Puckett.

Other survivors include mother-in-law, Janice Welch Riddle of Mt. Sterling; two sisters-in-law, Cathy Spencer (Daniel) of Mt. Sterling and Casey Puckett (Bryan) of Jeffersonville; as well as extended family and friends.

He was a former manager of Archies BP in Mt. Sterling and a former employee of Toyota Logistics Services in Georgetown.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Christian Assembly of God, 1834 Owingsville Road, Mount Sterling, KY 40353 with Tommy Evans officiating. Burial will be in Johnson – Chambers Cemetery

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
