Sarah Rachel Perry Erwin, age 94, of Lucasville, Ohio, formerly of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born September 9, 1916, in Carter County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Arthur and Cora Reeder Perry. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Murl Alexander and Dorothy Horsley, and one brother, Teddy Perry. Her husband, Arthur Erwin, passed away February 12, 2001. Mrs. Erwin is survived by two daughters, Joyce Locke and husband Ron of Lucasville, Ohio, and Janet Morgan and husband Bob of Athens, Tennessee; one son, Gary Erwin of Grayson, Kentucky; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Erwin was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Flat Fork Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ronald Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Bill Perry, Dan Perry, Butch Kelsey, Virgil Stamper, Steve Alexander, and Britt Erwin.
