Obituary

Sarah Christine Pelfrey Gamble, age 92, of Tower Road, Clearfield, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her home.

Born November 28, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Nerva Sexton Pelfrey.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Oscar Gamble, whom she married November 27, 1948, and passed away June 11, 2021.

She is survived by four children:  Paul Gamble of Clearfield, Ronald Gamble of Taylor, Michigan, Debra Gamble Cully and Diane Gamble, both of Naples, Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Other survivors include a sister, Charlotte Speer of Taylor, Michigan, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.  One brother, Oscar Pelfrey, preceded her in death.

Christine was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose legacy will continue though the lives of her loving family.  Family was always Christine's priority and she especially enjoyed her "need to feed" delicious home-cooked food to family and friends. Christine was a member of the Nazarene Church since 1980 and will be greatly missed.
