Sandra "Sandy" Vaughn Ingels, age 75, of Morehead, Kentucky, formerly of Hindman, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her residence.

Born March 31, 1948, in Knott County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Brady Vaughn and Joy Ventures.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Ingels, on August 9, 2009.

She is survived by one son, Daniel (Emily) Ingels of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters, Amanda (Brandon) Houser of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Victoria (Eric) Coy of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Elly Ingels, Lacy (Jace) Piersol, Jenna (Zachary) Wells, Dylan (Stacey) Tackett, Alex Feldhaus, Bailey Crawford and Kyle Crawford; four great grandchildren, Marie, Maggie, Eli, and Hayden; and special friend, Betty Jo Davis.

Sandy was a devout Christian and prayer warrior.  She was in constant prayer for those around her near and far.  She enjoyed Bible study, playing games, and a good yard sale.  Most of all, she loved her family and cherished her time with them.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Hillcrest Cemetery, 2089 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40504 with the Rev. Steven Hill.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Claire Hospice or Palliative Care, 201 Lyons Avenue, Morehead, KY 40351.
