Sandra K. Brown Becknell, age 54, of Vance Road, Salt Lick, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at her home. Born July 16, 1963, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Ollie and Loretta Faye Brown Fannin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty DeHart. Sandra is survived by her husband, Steven Becknell, whom she wed April 26, 1990; two sons, Seth Becknell (Tiffany) of Olympia and Shawn Dennis (Debra) of Winchester; one daughter, Samantha McCarty (Jordan) of Salt Lick; and five grandchildren, Lindon Ray Becknell, Mayme Leighanne McCarty, Maily Kay McCarty, Halley Grace Dennis, and Katlyn Elizabeth Dennis. Other survivors include three brothers, Charles Brown and Billy Brown, both of Wabash, Indiana, and Ronnie Brown of Morehead; four sisters, June Stamper of Wabash, Indiana, Evon Brown and Ida Stamper, both of Elliott County, and Sue Keeton of Morehead; nieces and nephews; extended family, including her church family; and friends. Sandy was a former beautician and enjoyed working on the computer, shopping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She attended Solid Rock Apostolic Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Solid Rock Apostolic Church, 7500 US Hwy 60 West, Farmers, KY with Pastor Daniel Carter and Rev. Joshua Layne officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Church family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
