Samuel Glen "Sam" Jackson, age 68, of Morehead Road, Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born March 30, 1950, in Fleming County, he was a son of the late Lynden and Thelma Stidom Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Jackson in 1967. Sam is survived by his two daughters, Katrina Ison of Morehead and Michelle (Chuck) Bonta of Lexington; four grandchildren, Mykenzie Ison, Shelbie Bonta, Katie Ison, and Sam Bonta; two brothers, Fred (Karan) Jackson of Morehead and Bob Jackson of Wallingford; three sisters, Carol (Richard) Harris of Cleveland, Tennessee, Ann (Ken) Page and Connie Fisk, all of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Sam was a retired carpenter for Jackson Builders and was a member of Sons of the American Legion. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, attending dirt track races, and was an avid Star Wars fan. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bill Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
