Ruth Irene Quesinberry Brown, age 98, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at her residence.
She was born May 31, 1926, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of Asa Richard Quesinberry and Clela Cooper Quesinberry. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Brown in 2002; an infant daughter, Anna Marie Brown; two brothers, Oscar Quesinberry and Earl Quesinberry; and a special sister and best friend, Leota Quesinberry.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Shirley Brown Horseman of Clearfield; a grandson, Thomas Andrew "Drew" Horseman of Elko, Nevada; a granddaughter, Bailey Horseman of Nicholasville; one great grandson, Rowan Thomas Horseman; a special nephew, Jody Quesinberry; several nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends from her Big 4 family and church family who will cherish her memory.
Ruth was certified surgical technician for St. Clarie Regional Medical Center and retired after 44 years of dedicated service. She was also a former employee at Big 4 Lumber and was a member of Morehead Freewill Baptist Church.
Ruth was a loving and dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She had a "green thumb" when it came to gardening and had a deep love for milk chocolate, Wavy Lays potato chips, onions rings and French fries.
Ruth made a profound impression on her caregiver family, Stephanie, Bobbie, Crissa, Caitlin, Becky, and Crystal were each honored and blessed to care for her. Addileigh became Ruth's caregiver grandbaby and always loved when she came to visit.
She lived her life through a strong faith in the Lord and her love always shined through in all she did. Ruth will be remembered with love and greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joey Damron officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Drew Horseman, Gannon Preston, Billy Hall, Dwayne Allen Sr., Dwayne E. Allen II, and Tony Wallace.
Honorary pallbearers: Dr. Tom Fossett, Dr. Johannes Evans, Don Miller, Dave Burchett, and her Brown Family.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
