Mary 'Ruth' Conn Erwin, age 91, of Stulltown Road, Owingsville, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at her home. Ruth was born July 1, 1922, in Rowan County, a daughter of James Spencer Conn and Nancy Boyd Conn. She was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; her husband, Lavern Erwin; one son, Edwin Lee Erwin; and one daughter, Joyce Ann Dean. Mrs. Erwin is survived by one son, Jim Norwood and wife Mary of Cincinnati, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, James, Ronnie, Mary, Nancy, David, Barbara, Angie, Eddie, Erin, Justen, Liz, Sean, and Dawn; 15 great grandchildren; and many other devoted and loving family members. Mrs. Erwin was a homemaker and former employee of O.K.I. Supply Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a member of the Montgomery County Homemakers Club and a longtime member of Hope Hill First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Doug Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Purvis Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ronnie Dean, Justen Cornell, Hayden Colwell, James Dean, Mike Albert, Daryl Wiseman, and Eric Biedenbach. Visitation is Saturday, June 28, 2014, from noon until 2 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
