Obituary

Ruth Talmadge Crain Fulton, age 91, of Secrest Crossing, Flemingsburg, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at the home of her daughter. She was born September 29, 1923, in Flemingsburg, a daughter of the late Faris T. and Grace Dexter Denton Crain. In addition to her parents and one brother, Wendell H. Crain, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex H. Fulton, who passed away in 1989; three daughters, Lynda Fannin, Ruth Ellen Flora, and Roberta Eubanks; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is survived by two daughters, Eda Vice of Flemingsburg and Martha Fulton of Morehead; one sister, Atha Shannon of Hillsboro; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and special grand dogs, Cosmo and Bindi. Ruth retired from the Randall Company after 28 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, where she enjoyed all church activities and especially working with the children during Vacation Bible School. She also enjoyed gardening, was an accomplished seamstress, and a former member of the Hillsboro Widows Club and the Fleming County Hospital Women's Auxiliary. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers; granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be 5 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro Visitation: Monday, December 29, 2014, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 1 p.m. Interment: Bethel Cemetery
