Obituary

Ruby Caudill Terrell, age 84, of Hollan Court, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born November 4, 1928, in Rowan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James W. and Maggie Brown Caudill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Caudill, one sister, Jewell Bolenbaugh, and six infant siblings. Her husband of 56 years, Glendon Terrell, preceded her in death on April 21, 2005. Mrs. Terrell is survived by her daughter, Peggy Leigh Terrell of Morehead, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Gibson and husband L. B., and Ida Belle Dillon and husband Ray, all of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Charles Bolenbaugh of Aberdeen, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Shirley Caudill of Mansfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Judy Barnett, Shawna Cantrell, Barbara Rogers, and Martha Lowe. Ruby was a graduate of Breckinridge Training School and received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts in Elementary Education, and her Rank 1 from Morehead State University. She began her teaching career of 46 years in the Perkins one room school and a one room school on Upper Lick Fork in Morehead, a second and fifth grade teacher at Haldeman Elementary and Morehead Grade School. Ruby enjoyed her flower garden and visiting with her family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Morehead First Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher and the Rev. Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Andrew Dillon, Nathan Hardin, Thomas Caudill, Gary Caudill, Gary Terrell, and Kenny Wayne Terrell. Honorary pallbearers: Mark Gibson, Mike Gibson, Jim Caudill, Tim Brown, Dr. William Hall, Wade Cain, Jim Reynolds, Ray Griffith, and nieces and nephews. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, December 15, 2012, after 4 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
