Obituary

Ruby Mae Flora Kissick, age 72, of Colfax Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born January 12, 1940, in Hillsboro, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Gray Flora. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wilson (Buck) Claypool. Ruby is survived by her husband, John Wesley Kissick, whom she married August 10, 1978; one son, Randy Wayne (Wanda) Kissick of Oklahoma; two daughters, Shirley (Wayne) Baker of Brown County, Indiana, and Pamela (Mike) Brown of Greenwood, Indiana; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Charles (Marjorie) Harmon, Bobby (Barbara) Flora, and Calvin Flora, all of Hillsboro, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty (Stuart) Muir of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Bonnie (David) Earlywine of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Ruby retired from Bath Manufacturing as a machine operator. She loved her dog and her cats, enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crafts of all kinds, as well as gardening and canning. She was of the Church of God faith. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Engle officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers: Herman Shelley, Nicholas Shelley, Gary Spurlock, Randy Kissick, Wayne Baker, and Monty Jent. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Kentucky. Visitation: Thursday, July 26, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Friday, July 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment: Fairview Cemetery
