Ruby Mae Cooper Kinder, age 98, of Parker City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.

She was born September 16, 1925, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and was a daughter of the late Robert Vinton Cooper and Sally Mae Stone Cooper.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd L. Kinder on September 14, 1996; two sons, Leo Kinder and Ray Kinder; one daughter, Viginia Gale Littleton; four brothers, Arthur Cooper, Henry Cooper, Lowell Cooper, and Paul Cooper; two sisters, Faye McCleese and Ellen Planck; and three grandsons, Vinton Kinder, Scottie Kinder, and Charlie Kinder.

Ruby is survived by two sons, Dewey and Mary Kinder of Portland, Indiana, and Harold and Wilma Kinder of Parker City, Indiana; one daughter-in-law, Martha Kinder of Muncie, Indiana; one son-in-law, Phillip Littleton of Frankfort, Ohio; eight grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and other extended family.

She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith. She was a member of Frankfort Senior Citizens group. Ruby, or as everyone called her Granny, enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, and sewing.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery on Kinder Branch. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
