Roy F. (Jim) Henderson, age75, of Henderson Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at the residence of his son. Born December 19, 1935, in Carter County, Kentucky, Jim was the son of the late Adam and Edna Waggoner Henderson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Skaggs. His wife, Phyllis Jewell Binion Henderson, passed away May 8, 1993. Jim is survived by four sons, Randy Henderson and wife Bonnie of Morehead, Kentucky, Roy Henderson of Manning, South Carolina, Faron Henderson and wife Pam of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Sonny Henderson of Haldeman, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Shane Henderson and wife Crystal, Adam Henderson, Miranda Shoemaker, Maria Glover and husband Ryan, Heather Henderson, Brittany Henderson, Nathan Ryver and wife Cara and J. J. Ryver; and eight great grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Frank Henderson and wife Janice of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Glenna Cox and husband Allen, Myrtle Smith and husband Johnny, and Sharon Kidd and husband David, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a plumber for Service of Morehead for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and spending time with his family. He attended the Haldeman Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Don Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Mark Fraley, Barry Cox, Steve Perkins, Shane Henderson, Nathan Ryver, and Ryan Glover. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Henderson, Miranda Shoemaker, Maria Glover, Heather Henderson, and Brittany Henderson.
