Roy Joe Day, age 51, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015, in Laredo, Texas. Born August 13, 1963, in Mt. Sterling, he was a son of Virginia Whitt and the late Roy Ernest 'Tots' Day. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Pennington. Roy is survived by his wife, Debbie Parry Day; two daughters, Casey Day Richards and husband Jared and Kellie Jo Day, all of Morehead; three brothers, Edward Gross of Mt. Sterling, Tony Gregory of Casper, Wyoming, and Roger Ingram of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Denise Wills of Mt. Sterling, Brenda Boothe of Shelby, Ohio, and Debbie Corey of North Carolina. Roy was a graduate of Rowan County High School and had been a pipeliner and an auditor for Houston Inspection. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen T. Day Cemetery in Morgan County. Pallbearers: Jared Richards, Steve Perkins, David Perkins, Roger Staton, Greg Wills, and Hunter Gross.
