Roy Blair, age 81, of Timberwood Trail, Morehead, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born December 15, 1938, in Pike County, he was the son of the late Lundy Blair and Laura Hunt Blair.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Priscilla Gaye Hunt Blair, who passed away November 21, 2017.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Opal Brown; one niece, Vicki Mallett; and one nephew, David Brown.

He is survived by one loving daughter, Paige Taylor and her husband Robert, and one treasured grandson, Shane Taylor, all of Morehead.

Others to cherish his memory include one sister, Mary Mayfield of Pikeville; two nieces, Sandra Darby and Wanda Smith; two nephews, Robert Mayfield, Jr. and L. D. Brown, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Roy had been a heavy equipment operator and a self-employed owner of Blair Trucking Company.  He enjoyed working on his truck and heavy equipment and really enjoyed participating in outdoor activities.  He loved to garden, hunt, and fish and was also an avid UK basketball and football fan. Most of all, he enjoyed watching Shane play baseball and visiting with family and friends.  Roy attended Johnson First Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Hatfield, and the Rev. Mike Pennington officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Roy are suggested to Tunnels 2 Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
