Rose Ella (Cox) Hunter, of Morehead, Kentucky, and formerly of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., while lying down for an afternoon nap. This brings comfort to her family, knowing that when she laid her head down, she had been ill and in discomfort, only to awaken in the arms of Jesus, now in perfect peace.

Surviving are three sons, Greg (Susan) Smith, Nathan (Carrie) Caudill, and stepson Allen Walter Jr.; two daughters, Amber (David) Ervin and stepdaughter Amy (Chris) Mejia; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Hicks and Lila (Greg) Logan; and two brothers, Michael (Lisa) Cox and Lionel (Anita) Cox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, one sister, and one granddaughter.
