Obituary

Rosa Mae Fritch Russell, age 82, of Open Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. Born December 26, 1934, in Bloomington, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Amanda Faye Fritch. She is survived by her husband, James Alford 'Jim' Russell; two daughters, Winnie Harbor of Hamilton, Alabama, and Melinda Vaughn of Amory, Mississippi; four sons, Steve (Lana) Russell of Betsy Layne, Danny Russell of Farmers, Sam Russell of West Virginia, and Phil (Annie) Russell of Pikeville; one brother, Albert Otto 'Dutch' Fritch of Bloomington, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Rosa was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, cooking, reading, and especially, family cookouts and gatherings. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bishop Greg Guy officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell Family Cemetery in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. Pallbearers: Tanner Lewis, Tayten Lann, Austin Reed, Clay Reed, Dutch Vaughn, and Shaun Parra. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
