Ronald "Ron" Gerald Rust

Ronald “Ron” Gerald Rust, age 65, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Morehead.

Born August 9, 1961, at Fort Lewis, Washington, he was the son of the late Gerald Frank Rust and Carolynn Lea Stavig Rust.

Ron proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a dedicated member and chair of the Pride of Morehead, an organization that held a special place in his heart. Ron cherished the friendships he made and the opportunity to support and serve his community through the organization.

He was also devoted to his beloved beagle, “Buddy,” who brought him much happiness and companionship.

Ron will be remembered for his dedication to his community, his kindness, and his commitment to the people and causes he held dear.

In remembrance and celebration of Ron’s life, a candlelight vigil will be held in Morehead later.
