Ronald Patrick 'Pat' Caudill, age 79, of Jackson Cemetery Road, Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born March 19, 1937, at Cranston in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Arvel and Leta Kelsey Caudill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Ray Caudill and Marion Caudill. Pat is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sheila Gardner Caudill, whom he married July 19, 1972; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Ben Nipper of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Anita and Michael Jordan of Clinton, Tennessee; one son and daughter-in-law, Lancie and Linda Caudill of Flatwoods; and two step grandchildren, Heather Jordan and Seth Jordan of Clinton, Tennessee. Other survivors include two brothers, Chester and Imogene Caudill and John 'Bo' Caudill, all of Morehead; five sisters, Edith Littleton, Vicky and Jim White, Debbie and Dale Moore, all of Morehead, Cindy and Jim Durham of Dayton, Ohio, and Gay Caudill of Phoenix, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was a heavy equipment operator for area construction companies for many years and retired from D. L. Braughler Company. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church and visiting with family and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Brian Caudill and Elder Enois Hall officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Nephews Wade Littleton, Darrell Littleton, Kevin Caudill, Kyle Caudill, Justin Caudill, Jamey Durham, Steve Williams and Ryan Caudill will serve as pallbearers.
