Obituary

Ronald Gene Black, age 77, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Morehead. Born October 1, 1939, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Audry (A. C.) Black and Christell Wallace Black. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, K. Sue Black. Ronald is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ingram Black; two stepsons, Johnny Whidden and Gary Whidden, both of Wallingford; three daughters; Angela Black, Brenda Woodruff and husband William, and Andrea Black, all of Ohio; one brother, Glennis Ray Black and Tina of Franklin, Ohio; one sister, Wanda Louise Catron and Randall of Morehead; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronald was a former bulldozer operator for Dick Ellington and a former plumber for Abner Construction. He loved to read, hunt, and watch car racing. Ronald was a Christian and enjoyed watching television ministries, especially Jimmy Swaggart. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Sharkey. Pallbearers: Johnny Whidden, Gary Whidden, Randall Catron, Dennis Catron, Glennis Black, Paul Simmons, Ricky Lewis Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, December 1, 2016, 5 p.m., Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Funeral: Friday, December 2, 2016, 1 p.m., Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel Interment: Caudill Cemetery, Sharkey, Kentucky
