Roger Dale Beamon, age 65, of Hwy 519, West Liberty, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born December 4, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Avelean Blevins Beamon of Clearfield and the late James Beamon. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Donna Usleaman Beamon; three sons, Bill Usleaman of Louisville, Timothy Beamon and Dorothy and Eric Beamon and Kathy, all of Morehead; three daughters, Penny Mullins and Jeff of Louisville, Regina Beamon of Lexington, and Elizabeth McKinney of West Liberty; four brothers, James Beamon, Bernie Beamon, Dennis Beamon, and Doug Beamon and wife Phyllis, all of Morehead; three sisters, Barbara Higgebothen and Betty Lou Perry, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Linda Luckett of Louisville; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Besides his father, Roger was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Bradley McKinney and Derick Beamon; two brothers, Larry and Orville Beamon; and one sister, Joyce Jacqueline Beamon. Roger had been a foundry worker in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member and deacon of the Charity Freewill Baptist Church, where he enjoyed church activities. He loved spending time as 'Papa' with his grandchildren and fishing when he could. He will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Charity Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jeff Mullins, Nathan Mullins, Michael Segvich, Tyler Beamon, Scott Cantrell, Phillip Roe and Eli Fultz.
