Rocky McGuire, age 75, of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born February 25, 1932, in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, and was the son of the late Lurman and Julia Mae Fryman McGuire. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Harrison Dean McGuire, on May 6, 1999. Rocky is survived by his wife, Doris Anderson McGuire; one son, Rick McGuire of Dayton, Ohio; four daughters, Rhonda Parson of Cleveland, Ohio, Brenda Fusch, Sherri Garcia, and Tammy Quintana, all of San Diego, California; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Other survivors include four brothers, Gale McGuire of Union, Ohio, Carol McGuire and Wilford McGuire of Hamilton, Ohio, and Keith McGuire of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Joy Arnett of Anderson, Indiana, Lois Cooper of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Marjorie Menche of Fairfield, Ohio, and many friends and family. Rocky was a carpenter and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a Christian. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fryman Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
