Robert Eugene -Robbie- Watson, age 38, of West Third Street, Maysville, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007, at the U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born August 26, 1969, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he is the son of J. R. Watson and his wife Linda of Morehead and Patricia Moore Purdon and her husband Edward of Maysville. Other survivors include his fianc-e, Debra Lorraine Batten of Maysville; his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Watson of Morehead; five brothers, Brian Edward and Tina Purdon of Tacoma, Washington, Martin Ray and Tammy Purdon of Foxport, Kentucky, James Matthew and Tracy Purdon of Maysville, Brandon Isaac Purdon of Maysville, Samuel and Julia Purdon of Maysville; and six sisters, Stephanie Watson of Alexandria, Buffy Jo Purdon of Joplin, Missouri, Nancy Elizabeth Herrea of Montebello, California, Sheryl Purdon of Maysville, Mary Leighann Purdon of Maysville, and Kimberly Dawn Watson of Jacksonville, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Robbie was a graduate of Manchester High School in West Union, Ohio, and Bert Combs Vocational College in Paintsville, and had attended Maysville Community College. He was a member of Happy Hollow Union Church in Tollesboro. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Brell Funeral Home in Maysville. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at the Brell Funeral Home in Maysville with the Rev. Willie Sturgill officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie-s five brothers and Mike Wilson and Ray Polley. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Women-s Crisis Center, 1100 E. Third Street, Maysville, KY 41056. Visitation: Tuesday, September 4, 2007, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at 1 p.m. Interment: Maysville Cemetery
