Robert A. 'Bobby' Gee, age 78, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville. Born February 19, 1936, in Haldeman, he was a son of the late Charles Gee and Lydia Margaret Stewart Gee Williams Royse. He was also preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Gee, Jr.; one grandson, Robbie Frank; and an infant brother, Gerald William Gee. Bobby is survived by two daughters, Tracy Gee Fannin of Clearfield and Robyn Gee Mills of Morehead; four grandchildren, Cole Fannin, Myka Mills, Jordan Mills, and Jalen Mills; two great grandchildren, Camryn Mills, and Aubree Thompson; one sister, Shirley DeHart of Morehead; and a stepson, Steven Gee of Russell. He also leaves behind extended family and friends. Bob was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a well-known cook and business owner. He owned and operated the Frontier Steak House, Bob's Place, and Bob's Broasted Chicken in Morehead and the Burger Shop in Farmers. He was a former employee of Fin-Fur & Feather. Bobby was widely known as a camp cook serving up his fish and hot slaw. As a lifelong outdoorsman, he was a passionate fisherman who thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Florida and many other places to fish and was also an avid hunter. A Celebration of Life will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating and military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126. Visitation is 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
